Employers of disabled people

General information


Employer of disabled people within the protected labor market can become an organization/firm, which employs more than 50% disabled people of the total number of employees. However, it is always necessary to conclude written Recognition Agreement by the Czech Labor Office, which is valid for 3 years, from the Labor Office in whose district the organization/firm has its registered office.

Conditions for the Recognition Agreement completion


Employer employs more than 50% disabled people of the total number of employees in the quarterly recalculated number for the calendar quarter preceding the date of application for Recognition Agreement completion.

Employer is not legally convicted for the offense of fraud in connection with the provision of a disabled people support on the day of application.

Over the past 12 months, the employer paid at least 80% of disabled people on their account or by postal order. In the same time horizon, the employer employed an over-majority of employees who are disabled in their non-resident workplaces

If you would like to be a „substitute performance“ provider (see link), first you must employ 50% disabled people of the total number of your employees for more than one year. Nowadays, however, we know that you can employ disabled people within the open labor market too, which may be a way how to get high-quality employees and to build a socially responsible business at the same time.
